We try whenever we can to use the greenest shipping methods we can. This means especially re-using shipping materials whenever possible. We carefully package everything to avoid breakage, and are confident you'll be happy with the condition of your order when it arrives. But...it may not always look as pretty or assembly-line-processed as an Amazon shipment.
PROVIDING INFO AND CONSUMER EDUCATION
One of our primary goals is to provide accurate and up-to-date information to help you make intelligent buying decisions, whether you make a purchase from our site or somewhere else. Or not at all!
On all product pages you'll see details about if the item ships immediately or requires a lead time of anywhere from a few days to up to a month (for a handful of items) to cover real-time manufacturing and shipping time.
Most product descriptions include instructions on how to use the item, a summary of product materials and manufacturing processes, any special shipping details, product care and maintenance advice, frequently asked questions and other info. We want to assist our customers in understanding what they need vs. what they THINK they need.
HOW TO ORDER
We prefer and generally do NOT accept phone orders. Reason: we want to protect ourselves against fraud (taking credit card payments over the phone bypasses our standard credit authorization process).
Secondly, do you really want to give us the ability to write down all your sensitive credit card info without knowing how that data will be used and / or discarded? Our online-ordering-only policy protects both you as the buyer and us as the seller. Thank you for understanding.
WHERE WE SELL
We accept orders from all lower 48 states and DC. Due to the nature of our merchandise and varying shipping times and special charges, we're not able at this time to sell to customers located in AK, HI, PR, USVI or Canada.
PAYMENT
We accept VISA, Mastercard, Diner's Club, AMEX and Discover credit and debit cards for payment. You can also use Paypal for your payment if you have a Paypal account.
Credit card information used with orders within our store is fully encrypted to the highest U.S. Government standards and is not kept on file. Your information is safe, secure, and this site is in full compliance with security standards required by all major credit card companies.

We ship from Philadelphia, PA. to all lower 48 US states and DC. WE generally use UPS Ground Residential, but may use USPS when the shipping address could be problematic for UPS (eg PO Boxes or US Rural Routes).
Some of our items are shipped by third-party manufacturers or distributors from locations within the US. Most use UPS, but a handful use Fedex or USPS.

All plants and fragile artisan planters and other breakable merchandise are shipped with professional, secure (often recycled, but clean) packaging materials. Our shipping techniques are tested and proven to get your plants to you alive and healthy and your fragile items intact and in one piece.
SHIPPING OPTIONS
US (lower 48 and DC): UPS Ground. Items are generally shipped within one (two maximum) days of receiving confirmed payment. If we are out of town for more than 2 days, we will clearly note that on the website, in your cart and on your order confirmation, so you'll know when you can reasonably expect your order to arrive.
